The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Student Branch Chapter, University of Jaffna, organized a Tech Talk titled “From Ideas to Research: Choosing Meaningful Computer Science Projects in the Age of GenAI” on 04 June 2026 . The session was delivered by Prof. Roshan G. Ragel, Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Peradeniya. Held at the Computer Lab, Department of Computer Science, University of Jaffna, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM , the talk highlighted how to evaluate novelty, feasibility, and ethical considerations while leveraging Generative AI tools to support impactful research.
