JamborIEEE 2026 was successfully organized by the IEEE Sri Lanka Section Student Activities Committee and hosted by the IEEE Student Branch of Sri Lanka Technology Campus (SLTC). As a national-level initiative, the event brought together IEEE Student Branch members from universities across Zone C, including the University of Ruhuna, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Technology Campus (SLTC), CINEC Campus, and the Open University of Sri Lanka. Held on 6th and 7th June 2026 at SLTC, the event welcomed more than 150 participants for an unforgettable two-day experience filled with learning, collaboration, and entertainment. The program commenced with an opening ceremony featuring the lighting of the traditional oil lamp, welcome speeches, addresses by distinguished guests, and an engaging technical session. Participants also enjoyed an interactive Kahoot quiz, entertainment performances, and networking opportunities throughout the day. What made JamborIEEE 2026 truly special was its sleepless overnight experience. As the evening unfolded, participants enjoyed indoor games, shared meals, and gathered for a fun-filled movie night that continued late into the night. The excitement carried on around the campfire, where students sang songs, shared stories, laughed together, and created lasting memories under the stars. Without stopping for sleep, the energy continued into the early hours with an adventurous treasure hunt and outdoor team-building games, followed by a refreshing tea break and breakfast. The second day concluded with another inspiring session, volunteer feedback, token presentations, and a closing ceremony that celebrated the success of the event. Beyond the activities, JamborIEEE 2026 fulfilled its primary objective of strengthening connections among IEEE Student Branches and encouraging collaboration between students from different universities. Through technical sessions, games, cultural interactions, and informal networking, participants exchanged ideas, built friendships, developed leadership and teamwork skills, and gained a deeper appreciation of the IEEE community. From insightful knowledge-sharing sessions to the laughter around the bonfire, from the excitement of the treasure hunt to the memories created during the movie night, JamborIEEE 2026 was more than just an event, it was an experience that united students, inspired collaboration, and left every participant with friendships and memories to cherish for years to come.
