The monthly meeting for May 2026 reflected a period of strategic planning and organizational development, with the Student Branch and its affiliated chapters focusing on preparations for upcoming initiatives and leadership transitions. A significant milestone during the month was the opportunity granted to the Student Branch to host JamborIEEE for Zone C. Preparations for this prestigious event commenced, with members actively engaging in planning and coordination activities to ensure its successful execution. In parallel, the Student Branch initiated the process of appointing its new Executive Committee by calling for applications. This marked an important step toward ensuring leadership continuity and strengthening the branch for the upcoming term. The IEEE IES Student Branch Chapter dedicated considerable effort toward the Sri Lanka Arduino Challenge (SLAC) 2026, initiating the recruitment process for the Organizing Committee while simultaneously carrying out other preparatory activities for the competition. The IEEE IAS Student Branch Chapter focused on organizing FORGE 2026, scheduled to be held in June. Planning activities and logistical arrangements were actively carried out during the month to ensure the event's success. Meanwhile, the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter concentrated on finalizing the financial matters related to Codemania V6.0, ensuring the proper closure of the event. At the same time, the IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group remained actively engaged in preparations for InspiHER, dedicating their efforts toward planning and execution. Overall, May highlighted the Student Branch's commitment to future initiatives, leadership development, and the effective management of both ongoing and upcoming activities.
