On behalf of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Student Branch Affinity Group of SLTC, the InspiHER{Tech} V4.0 Opening Ceremony was successfully organized as the flagship initiative of the affinity group, marking the official commencement of an inspiring and engaging journey for all delegates. Designed to empower and encourage participation in technology-driven activities, the event served as a platform to foster innovation, collaboration, leadership, and creativity while bringing together enthusiastic participants to experience an exciting and meaningful learning environment. Through this initiative, the organizing committee aimed to create opportunities for delegates to challenge themselves, strengthen technical competencies, and build valuable connections through teamwork and knowledge sharing. The opening ceremony represented more than a formal commencement of the event; it symbolized the beginning of a journey dedicated to empowering future innovators and encouraging greater engagement in technology. The session created a welcoming and motivating atmosphere that inspired delegates to actively participate and make the most of the opportunities provided throughout the event. The enthusiasm shown by participants and organizing members contributed significantly to creating an energetic and positive environment from the very beginning. The ceremony was honored by the presence of Mrs. Warunika Hippola, Branch Academic Advisor, IEEE Student Branch of SLTC, who attended as the distinguished guest and added value to the occasion through her presence and encouragement. Her participation reflected continuous support for student-led initiatives and highlighted the importance of creating platforms that motivate students to develop both technical and leadership capabilities. The opening ceremony created an ideal setting for delegates to begin their event journey with confidence and inspiration. The event officially commenced with the traditional lighting of the oil lamp, symbolizing knowledge, prosperity, unity, and new beginnings. This ceremonial moment represented the values and vision behind InspiHER{Tech} V4.0 while emphasizing the collective effort required to achieve meaningful outcomes. The lighting ceremony was joined by the distinguished guest, RT members, EXCOM members, Project Chairperson, Vice Chairpersons, Secretary, and a delegate, reflecting inclusiveness, teamwork, and shared commitment toward making the event successful. This traditional opening created a memorable beginning and established an atmosphere of celebration and anticipation among all attendees. Following the ceremonial opening, the event continued with the Welcome Speech delivered by the Vice Chairperson, who warmly welcomed all delegates, organizing members, and guests. The speech acknowledged the contributions and dedication of everyone involved in planning and organizing the event while expressing appreciation for the participants who joined to become part of the InspiHER experience. Delegates were encouraged to embrace the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and challenge themselves throughout the event. After creating a welcoming atmosphere, the Project Chairperson conducted the Guidelines Speech, which played an important role in preparing participants for the upcoming hackathon experience.
