Description
On behalf of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Student Branch Affinity Group of SLTC, InspiHER{Tech} V4.0 – InspiHER {HackNova} was successfully conducted as the competitive hackathon segment of the flagship initiative, creating a dynamic and engaging platform for delegates to demonstrate their technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, creativity, and teamwork skills. The hackathon was designed to provide participants with an opportunity to engage in a practical and challenging experience that encouraged learning through application while fostering collaboration, innovation, and analytical thinking. Through this initiative, delegates were able to experience an environment that promoted growth, technical exploration, and meaningful interaction with fellow participants. As one of the key segments of InspiHER{Tech} V4.0, the hackathon was introduced with the objective of encouraging delegates to transform theoretical knowledge into practical solutions while developing confidence and adaptability in a competitive setting. The event aimed to create a space where participants could strengthen their abilities, apply technical concepts, and experience real-time decision-making through coding-based challenges. Additionally, the hackathon reflected the mission of IEEE Women in Engineering by creating opportunities that support innovation, participation, and skill development within the technology community. A total of 10 teams participated in the competition, bringing together enthusiastic delegates with diverse ideas, approaches, and perspectives. The participating teams included KAELION, CODETRINITY, HACKTRONIX, CODEX, CODE SIRENS, HERIZONX, NOVASQUAD, BYTEBLAZERS, CODEX, and CODEG. Each team demonstrated commitment and determination throughout the event while approaching the challenges with unique strategies and collaborative efforts. The active participation and enthusiasm displayed by all teams contributed significantly to the overall success and energy of the hackathon experience. The hackathon officially commenced with participants completing the initial login process using their registered email addresses to access the competition environment. This process ensured smooth onboarding and prepared delegates to begin the technical session without interruptions. Once the email login procedure was completed successfully, participants proceeded to access the HackerRank platform, which served as the official platform for conducting and managing the competition challenges. Before the coding session began, participants were given time to familiarize themselves with the platform interface and understand the competition structure. Delegates explored the challenge environment, reviewed instructions, and ensured that all required access procedures were completed successfully. This onboarding stage played an important role in creating a well-organized and fair environment for all participating teams while allowing them to begin the competition with confidence and readiness. Following successful onboarding and platform access, the coding session officially commenced. Teams immediately engaged in solving the assigned challenges while applying technical knowledge, logical reasoning, and collaborative decision-making. Delegates worked closely with team members to discuss ideas, evaluate different approaches, and create efficient solutions within the allocated timeframe. Throughout the session, participants demonstrated strong engagement and commitment while utilizing both technical and communication skills to progress through the competition. The hackathon environment encouraged delegates to move beyond conventional learning experiences and engage in practical problem-solving under time constraints. Teams were challenged to think critically, adapt quickly, and continuously improve their approaches while maintaining effective collaboration. The competitive atmosphere motivated participants to remain focused and determined while developing solutions that reflected both creativity and technical capability. As the competition progressed, delegates actively contributed to their teams by sharing ideas and supporting one another throughout the coding process. Participants demonstrated resilience and enthusiasm while managing challenges and refining their solutions based on strategic discussions and collaborative efforts. The event successfully created an environment where delegates could gain valuable exposure to teamwork and technical execution in a structured and competitive setting. Participants remained actively engaged in the competition until the scheduled lunch break from 1.00 PM to 1.30 PM. This break provided delegates with an opportunity to refresh, interact with fellow participants, and briefly reflect on their progress before continuing with the remaining tasks. The break also encouraged networking and strengthened the overall event experience by allowing teams to exchange thoughts and prepare for the next phase of the competition. After the lunch interval, delegates resumed the coding session with renewed energy and determination. Teams returned to the competition environment and continued developing, refining, and finalizing their solutions. The second half of the hackathon reflected increased focus and dedication as participants worked carefully to optimize their outputs and improve performance before final submission. Delegates continued to collaborate effectively while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude throughout the competition period. As the event approached its conclusion, teams carefully reviewed their work and ensured all solutions were completed and submitted successfully. Participants demonstrated strong time management and problem-solving capabilities while balancing quality and efficiency during the final phase of the hackathon. The competition environment remained supportive and motivating, allowing delegates to enjoy both the challenge and learning experience throughout the process. The coding session continued successfully until 3.30 PM, marking the official completion of the hackathon period. At the conclusion of the session, teams submitted their final solutions through the HackerRank platform and completed their participation in the competition. Delegates concluded the event with a sense of achievement and satisfaction after dedicating their efforts and creativity toward solving the assigned challenges. With the completion of the coding period, InspiHER{Tech} V4.0 – InspiHER {HackNova} officially concluded, marking the successful completion of an exciting and impactful hackathon experience. Beyond competition, the event created opportunities for delegates to strengthen technical competencies, improve teamwork, and gain practical exposure to collaborative innovation and real-time problem-solving. Overall, the hackathon successfully reflected the vision and objectives of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Student Branch Affinity Group of SLTC by creating a meaningful and empowering platform that encouraged delegates to innovate, collaborate, and explore their full potential. InspiHER{Tech} V4.0 – InspiHER {HackNova} concluded as an inspiring and memorable experience that fostered technical excellence, creativity, confidence, and continuous learning among all participating delegates.
