1. Session Introduction Path Forward 3.0 - 2026 is an initiative organized by the IEEE Women in Engineering Student Branch Affinity Group of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka with the aim of guiding undergraduate students towards emerging career opportunities in the IT industry. As the fourth session of the series, the Cyber Security Session is designed to provide participants with practical exposure to the field of Cyber Security, industry best practices, network protection strategies, required technical skills, and career opportunities available within the domain. The session will create an interactive platform for undergraduate students to engage with industry professionals and gain valuable insights into real-world network security practices and emerging security challenges. 2.Objectives of the Session • To introduce undergraduate students to the field of Cyber Security. • To provide awareness regarding network threats, vulnerabilities, and security mechanisms used to protect organizational infrastructure. • To discuss current industry practices, security frameworks, networking technologies, and essential skills required for Cyber Security professionals. • To provide guidance on career pathways and professional growth opportunities within the Cyber Security domain. • To encourage active engagement through interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions.
