The SDG 4 Awareness Session on Quality Education was successfully organized by SDG Sprints in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka to raise awareness about United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) . Conducted via Google Meet, the session brought together students and young professionals to explore the importance of ensuring inclusive, equitable and quality education while promoting lifelong learning opportunities for everyone. The session began with an introduction to the Sustainable Development Goals and the significance of SDG 4 in achieving sustainable social and economic development. Participants gained an understanding of the key targets of Quality Education and the challenges faced in providing equal access to education across different communities. The discussion also emphasized the importance of digital literacy, innovation and technology in improving educational opportunities and creating inclusive learning environments. Throughout the session, participants learned how education empowers individuals, reduces inequalities and contributes to building stronger and more sustainable communities. Practical examples and real world perspectives highlighted the collective responsibility of governments, educational institutions, organizations, and individuals in advancing the goals of quality education. The event concluded with an engaging question and answer session, allowing participants to clarify their ideas and actively interact with the speaker. Overall, the session successfully increased awareness of SDG 4, encouraged meaningful discussions, and inspired attendees to support initiatives that promote quality education and lifelong learning for all.
