EMPOWER HER

Description

In celebration of Women’s Day, the “EMPOWER HER” session was organized on 17th March 2026 at 6.00 PM via an online platform to recognize and highlight the importance of women’s empowerment, equality, and leadership. The session, themed “The Practice of Empowerment as a Woman: A Conversation on Equality” aligned with the spirit of Women’s Day by creating awareness on the value of empowering women to build confidence, overcome challenges, and actively contribute to society. The session featured Ms. Piyumani Ranasinghe, Attorney-at-Law and researcher in Human Rights, Gender, and Environmental Law, who shared valuable insights on gender equality, women’s rights, and the importance of creating an inclusive environment where women can thrive. The event provided an inspiring platform for participants to reflect on the role of empowerment in achieving equality and promoting positive social change.
