The WIE Day Celebration Week 2026 was organized to commemorate the achievements of Women in Engineering and promote the importance of responsible innovation in the field of technology. Centered around the theme “Technology with Purpose – Innovate Responsibly, Inspire Globally, Lead with Integrity” the celebration highlighted the significance of ethical leadership, meaningful innovation, and the role of technology in creating a positive global impact. Throughout the week, members including Leads and Directors of the IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of University of Moratuwa contributed their thoughts and perspectives on the theme. These reflections were shared through daily flyers, encouraging engagement, inspiring discussions, and strengthening the connection among the WIE community. The celebration aimed to raise awareness about the contributions of women in engineering, promote responsible technological practices, appreciate the efforts of community members, and foster a culture of innovation, integrity, and collaboration within the community.
