The IEEE USJ ComSoc meeting was commenced by President, Hiran Dharmapala, with a review of the task sheet and updates on the progress of assigned responsibilities. Secretary, Yohara Perera, was reminded to submit the required reporting updates. Members were also reminded to maintain collaboration with the E² Club regarding the ongoing CSR project. Nimesha confirmed the completion of sending participation certificates for the previous guest talk session. It was also confirmed that President, Hiran Dharmapala, and Nimesha will represent the club at the EFAC Orientation scheduled for 31st March 2026. The progress of the upcoming guest talk was discussed. The preparations are currently ongoing, and the guest speaker is in the process of finalizing the session topic. Further updates will be shared once the details are confirmed. Updates regarding the NetXIoT competition were discussed. The flyer distribution process and collaboration activities with the E² Club have progressed smoothly. It was mentioned that awareness sessions targeting university graduates and school students will be conducted by the E² Club. The ComSoc Chapter will be responsible for conducting the Organizing Committee (OC) interviews for the competition. The preliminary interview plan was discussed, where interviews are expected to commence from 6th April 2026, with approximately 10 minutes allocated per applicant. A total of 69 applications have been received for the competition so far. A discussion thread will be created to finalize the interview schedule and dates. President, Hiran Dharmapala, will prepare the marking scheme for evaluating the applicants. Dulanga raised concerns regarding issues related to the received applications, and possible solutions and minor corrections were discussed. These matters were noted for further follow-up. The status of financial matters was also discussed. It was mentioned that the funds from the Sri Lanka Section have not yet been received, and updates will be shared once further information becomes available. The meeting concluded with President, Hiran Dharmapala, reviewing the remaining tasks and confirming the required follow-up actions.
