The IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura successfully organized Nexora 1.0, a virtual technical session focused on the role of safety and energy efficiency in achieving industrial excellence. The session explored workplace safety practices, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), hazard identification, risk management, regulatory compliance, and energy-efficient industrial operations. Through practical examples and real-world experiences, participants gained valuable insights into developing a strong safety culture and improving industrial sustainability. An interactive Q&A session further enhanced participant engagement and understanding of career 696opportunities in the EHS field . Promotional Timeline To maximize participant engagement and ensure effective outreach, a structured social media campaign was carried out prior to and following the event. The promotional campaign commenced with the Speaker and Date Reveal post published on 2 July 2026 at 7:06 PM, followed by the Happening Tomorrow reminder on 3 July 2026 at 8:21 PM. On the day of the event, a Happening Today post was shared at 5:01 PM, followed by a Happening Now post at 7:53 PM to encourage last-minute participation. After the successful completion of the session, a Thank You post was published on 6 July 2026 at 7:01 PM to express appreciation to the speaker and participants. To further enhance post-event engagement and reinforce the knowledge shared during the session, an interactive Quiz Post was released on 7 July 2026 at 9:17 PM, encouraging participants to revisit the key concepts discussed during Nexora 1.0.
