The Department of Medical Technology, University of Moratuwa, in collaboration with the IEEE EMBS Student Branch Chapter, organized a guest talk on "Corrective Osteotomy: Computer-Assisted Planning and Navigation Based on Pre- and Intraoperative 3-D Imaging" , delivered by Dr. Iwan Dobbe from Amsterdam UMC . The session explored the use of computer-assisted planning, 3D bone reconstruction, and optimization techniques for accurate surgical bone placement, highlighting the role of advanced imaging technologies in modern orthopedic procedures. The event was held on 8th May , from 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM , at the Medical Faculty, University of Moratuwa . Alongside the guest lecture, a Biomedical Project Showcase and Discussion was conducted, where Engineering and Medical students presented their innovative biomedical projects, fostering knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.
