LiDAR360 Fast Track Workshop

Description

The IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) Sri Lanka Chapter is pleased to organize the "LiDAR360 Fast Track Workshop" as part of its technical co-sponsorship of the Moratuwa Engineering Research Conference (MERCon) 2026 . This online workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of LiDAR point cloud data processing and analysis, covering point cloud visualization, classification, terrain modeling, feature extraction, forestry analysis, and data export. This interactive session will include practical demonstrations using real-world datasets and industry-standard workflows to provide participants with practical insights into LiDAR data processing and analysis. The workshop will be delivered by geospatial experts, Mr. Thilosha Nipunajit h, Manager – Spatial Data Systems, SULECO (Pvt) Ltd , and Mr. Shalitha Eranga , Assistant Manager – Surveying & GIS, SULECO (Pvt) Ltd .
