Description
Code Arena #03 – Final Challenge Initiative: Algo Ace 2.0 Organizer: IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of USJ Date: 18th July Mode: Online (HackerRank) Overview Code Arena #03 marked the final mini hackathon of the Algo Ace 2.0 competitive programming series. The contest combined concepts covered throughout the initiative and challenged participants to solve advanced programming problems using efficient algorithmic approaches. Contest Highlights The contest featured 10 challenges divided into three phases: Foundations: Hash Maps, Two Pointers, and Sliding Window techniques. Strategy Round: Greedy algorithms, sorting, and optimization-based problem solving. Final Challenge: Recursion, Backtracking, Graph Thinking, BFS, and DFS. Participants applied multiple algorithmic patterns while improving their problem-solving and coding efficiency under timed conditions. Learning Outcomes Participants were able to: Apply algorithmic patterns to complex problems. Improve optimization and analytical thinking. Develop recursive, backtracking, and graph-based solutions. Strengthen competitive programming skills. Recognition Participants received the Code Arena Challenger – Surge Tier digital badge in recognition of their participation and progress throughout the Algo Ace 2.0 Code Arena series. Learning Resources The official Code Decode Booklet – Code Arena #03 was provided, including problem explanations, solution approaches, complexity analysis, and optimized implementations. Conclusion Code Arena #03 successfully concluded the Algo Ace 2.0 mini hackathon series by providing participants with experience in advanced competitive programming and strengthening their algorithmic thinking, problem-solving skills, and coding confidence.
