TechThrive 2026 – Organizing Committee (OC) First Meeting

The first official meeting of the newly confirmed Organizing Committee for TechThrive 2026 was held to kick off event planning under the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The meeting outlined the key deliverables required from each team and assigned responsibilities as follows: The Executive Team (Chairperson, Vice Chairperson) was tasked with the Event Proposal, End-to-End Event Planning, and Event Structure Planning, providing overall direction and ensuring all teams align with the event's vision and timeline. The Program & Event Team was assigned the Competition Structure Definition, Competition Task Definition, and Speaker & Session Planning, covering the design of the competition rounds, track-specific tasks, and coordination of mentors and session speakers. The Finance Team was assigned the Finance Proposal, Finance List, and Budget Planning, covering sponsorship targets, expense estimates, and the overall budget framework for the event. The Marketing & Design Team was assigned the Marketing Plan and Design Theme, covering promotional strategy, branding direction, and visual identity for TechThrive 2026. Each team was instructed to begin work immediately on their assigned deliverables and submit initial drafts for review before the next OC meeting, ensuring steady progress across all planning fronts as the event timeline moves forward.
