The ConnectX Industry Visit Series is an initiative organized by the I EEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Student Branch Chapter of the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) , aimed at providing students with real-world industry exposure in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, software engineering, and emerging technologies. The sixth industry visit of the series was conducted at Altria Consulting on 17 June 2026 from 8:30 AM onwards, where students gained valuable insights into how Artificial Intelligence, data analytics, and enterprise technologies drive digital transformation in modern organizations. Participants were introduced to the work carried out at Altria Consulting, including the application of predictive analytics, data engineering, machine learning, and SAP-powered enterprise solutions to address real-world business challenges. Students also gained an understanding of the modern IT industry, emerging technology trends, and the technical competencies, collaboration skills, and professional mindset required to succeed in today's technology sector. The session further provided valuable guidance on career readiness and preparing for professional roles in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and enterprise technology. The visit successfully enhanced students' understanding of enterprise technologies, digital transformation, and industry expectations while encouraging them to continuously develop both their technical and professional skills.
