PRESTIGE VOLUME 2 – Workshop 3

PRESTIGE Volume 2 is the second edition of the PRESTIGE event series organized by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Student Branch Chapter of the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT), aimed at providing students with industry exposure in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and emerging technologies through knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops. The third workshop of PRESTIGE Volume 2 was conducted via Zoom on 24 June 2026 under the theme “Navigating the AI Revolution: Industry Insights and Future-Proof Career Strategies.” The workshop featured an industry session delivered by Mr. Lalendra Jerome Dias, Senior Software Engineer at Loons Lab, focusing on the evolving AI landscape, industry expectations, and strategies for building successful careers in Artificial Intelligence. The session explored key developments in Artificial Intelligence, including emerging industry trends, the growing impact of AI across different domains, and the transformation of modern technology roles. Participants gained insights into the skills and competencies required to adapt to the rapidly changing AI ecosystem, along with guidance on developing a future-ready mindset for careers in AI-driven industries. Furthermore, the workshop highlighted important career strategies, technical skill requirements, and opportunities within the field of Artificial Intelligence. Through industry perspectives, real-world examples, and an interactive Q&A session, participants gained valuable knowledge on navigating career pathways, continuously improving their skill sets, and preparing for future opportunities in the evolving AI landscape.
