CONNECTX INDUSTRY VISIT SERIES – NEXT Technology

The ConnectX Industry Visit Series is an initiative organized by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Student Branch Chapter of the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) , aimed at providing students with real-world industry exposure in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, software engineering, and emerging technologies. The seventh industry visit of the series was conducted at NEXT Technology on 9 July 2026 , where students gained valuable insights into how modern technology solutions are developed and implemented across different areas of the software industry. Participants were introduced to the applications of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and automation in Data, Development, and Quality Assurance processes, along with their role in improving efficiency and enabling innovative solutions. Students gained a better understanding of industry practices, including the use of cloud technologies, data engineering approaches, software development processes, and software testing practices. The session also highlighted the technical skills, adaptability, and career pathways required to succeed in the evolving technology industry. Through knowledge-sharing sessions conducted by industry professionals, participants developed a clearer understanding of real-world technology workflows, industry expectations, and the practical application of emerging technologies. The visit successfully enhanced students' awareness of modern software engineering practices, AI-driven solutions, and industry requirements while encouraging them to further develop the skills needed for future technology careers.
