Annual General Meeting 2026

Description

The Annual General Meeting of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Student Branch Affinity Group at the University of Peradeniya was successfully held on 11th February 2025 at the Seminar Room of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The meeting began with a review of the activities and achievements of the previous term, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks to the outgoing committee for their dedication and valuable contributions. The newly elected committee members were introduced, officially beginning their term of leadership. Prof. Maheshi Dissanayake, Advisor of the IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group, University of Peradeniya, congratulated the new committee, reflected on the group's achievements, and shared her expectations for the year ahead. Dr. Ruwan Ranaweera, Advisor of the IEEE Student Branch, University of Peradeniya, also addressed the gathering, appreciating the efforts of the outgoing committee and encouraging the new team to work together and continue the group's success.
