The IEEE Student Branch of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University contributed as a collaborating partner for Career Fair 2026 , an industry engagement initiative aimed at connecting final-year computing undergraduates with potential employers and career opportunities. The event was designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing students with direct exposure to recruiters, career pathways, and professional opportunities. The event brought together representatives from more than 10 industry organizations , including industry professionals and recruitment teams who engaged with students through company introductions, discussions, and recruitment activities. Final-year students of the Faculty of Computing had the opportunity to showcase their technical skills, interact with industry experts, explore available career opportunities, and participate in recruitment processes conducted by participating organizations. Career Fair 2026 served as a valuable platform for students to gain insights into industry expectations, understand current employment trends, and establish professional connections while enabling companies to identify and recruit emerging talent from the university community.
