GENESIZ '26 is an AI-powered team competition organized by the Electronics Robotics and Innovation Club (ERIC-KDU) of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. This year's edition is a multi-chapter collaboration, with the IEEE Computer Society Student Chapter of KDU joining as an official collaborating partner alongside several other student chapters and societies at KDU, including IMechE, IEEE EMBS, IEEE PES, IEEE ComSoc, RAeS, the Mathematical Society, and BCS of KDU. Finalist teams compete across four technical challenge arenas designed to test creativity, teamwork, technical knowledge, and engineering skills: STEM Challenge 2026 – Interdisciplinary quiz on engineering and mathematics Carrier Deck Precision Landing Challenge – Aviation simulation focused on precision and decision-making Stellar Minds: The Inventor's Challenge – AI-powered space innovation and creativity challenge CodeSprint – Programming a line-following robot to capture the flag As part of the collaboration, the IEEE Computer Society Student Chapter of KDU actively promoted GENESIZ '26 through its official social media platforms, helping spread awareness of the event and its registration timeline among the student community.
