JAMBORIEEE 2026 - Zone B | Strengthening IEEE Student Connections and Leadership

JAMBORIEEE 2026 - Zone B was a collaborative student engagement initiative organized under the guidance of the IEEE Sri Lanka Section and the IEEE Sri Lanka Section Student Activities Committee (SLSAC) , in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branches of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, University of Kelaniya, University of Peradeniya, NSBM Green University, and Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. Conducted on 26th and 27th June 2026 at the Southern Campus of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University , the event brought together 120+ IEEE Student Members representing IEEE Student Branches across Sri Lanka, creating a platform to strengthen collaboration, foster connections, and enhance student engagement within the IEEE community. The event featured a diverse range of activities including Campfire Night, Inbound and Outbound Activities, Experience Sharing Sessions and PR Challenges designed to nurture essential skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership, creativity, and problem-solving. Beyond the activities, JAMBORIEEE 2026 - Zone B created an environment where students could connect beyond their universities, exchange experiences, build lasting friendships, and explore opportunities for future collaboration. The initiative encouraged active participation within IEEE while strengthening the bond among student members from different universities. Through the successful execution of JAMBORIEEE 2026 - Zone B , the IEEE Student Branch of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University further demonstrated its commitment towards empowering students through impactful initiatives focused on leadership development, professional growth, and community building, contributing towards a stronger and more connected IEEE student network in Sri Lanka.
