Stronger Together - Phase 02

Description

Stronger Together - Phase 02 was a humanitarian initiative jointly organized by the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) and the Leo Club of IIT in response to the devastating impact of Cyclone Ditwah across Sri Lanka. Following widespread flooding and displacement caused by the disaster, the project launched a campus-wide donation campaign encouraging students, staff, and the wider community to contribute school stationery, books, clothing, dry rations, and monetary donations. Collection points were established at the IIT City Campus to maximize accessibility and participation. The collected donations were handed over to a registered non-profit organization responsible for distributing relief items to affected schools, children, and families affected by the disaster. Through this collaborative effort, the project provided timely humanitarian assistance while encouraging volunteering, social responsibility, and unity among university students.
