The Build with AI: IIT Sri Lanka Buildathon Kickoff was organized by GDG Sri Lanka in collaboration with the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of IIT with the objective of introducing undergraduate students to the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence while officially launching the IIT Buildathon. The event provided participants with an engaging and hands-on learning experience focused on Google's AI technologies, including Gemini, the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, and Gemma. Through expert-led technical sessions, live demonstrations, and collaborative activities, students explored how modern AI tools can be leveraged to develop innovative solutions for real-world challenges. Industry professionals shared practical insights into AI application development, emerging trends, and best practices for building intelligent systems. Participants also had the opportunity to collaborate with peers, interact with experienced professionals, and gain valuable guidance for the upcoming Buildathon. The event encouraged innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning while fostering a strong AI-focused IIT developer community.
