The IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of the University of Vavuniya successfully organized Resume Spotlight on 17 May 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at TLH 1, Faculty of Technological Studies, University of Vavuniya . The session was designed to equip undergraduate students with practical knowledge and skills in professional resume writing, helping them strengthen their career readiness and improve their employability. The session was conducted by Ms. Masma Sajahan , Demonstrator in Information Technology at the University of Vavuniya. Participants learned about essential resume components, effective formatting techniques, common mistakes to avoid, and strategies for presenting academic achievements, technical skills, and extracurricular activities. The session also provided guidance on tailoring resumes for internships and employment opportunities. An interactive question-and-answer session allowed participants to clarify their doubts and receive valuable career advice. Approximately 50–60 students actively participated in the event. The program concluded with a token of appreciation presented to the resource person and a vote of thanks. Participants highly appreciated the practical and interactive nature of the session, making the event a successful professional development initiative
