NurtureNook 3.0

Description

On August 14th, 2026, “NurtureNook 3.0” succefully conducted at Malagala Maha Vidyalaya, engaging approximately 50 students from Grades 9-11. The programme was organized with the aim of inspiring young learners while supporting their educational and personal development beyond the traditional classroom environment. The programme commenced with an introduction to the University of Moratuwa and IEEE Women in Engineering, followed by a motivational and educational mentorship session facilitated in partnership with the Institute of Essential Studies. The session, conducted by Ms. Thishani Rathnasooriya, focused on developing students’ critical thinking, confidence, communication skills, and personality, while encouraging them to recognize their potential and pursue their future aspirations. To make the programme more interactive and enjoyable, several fun activities were conducted, which encouraged creativity, communication, and active participation among the students. Refreshments were also provided, adding to the welcoming and engaging atmosphere of the event. Through NurtureNook 3.0,we aimed to create meaningful connections with school students while promoting education, confidence, creativity, and personal growth. The programme provided the students with an opportunity to learn, express themselves, and create memorable experiences in a supportive and inspiring environment.
