Description
The IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter Executive Committee convened on August 25 to finalize strategic plans and logistics for future chapter initiatives. The meeting was attended by Chethya Jayasekara (Chairperson) , Manuja Yasanga (Vice Chairperson), Vinuka Vinnath (Secretary) , Ranas Mohamed (Treasurer) , and Ransika Sahan (Webmaster) . During the session, the committee finalized operations for the Nexora Knowledge Sharing Session ("Sri Lanka's Energy Transition") and the implementation of participant E-certificates. Additionally, the team managed the T-shirt fundraising campaign by confirming the August 31 pre-order deadline, coordinated industrial relations for a targeted mid-September Kelanitissa field visit, initiated foundational planning for the in-person GridMetrics’26 event in October, and proposed timelines for an upcoming university-level research competition.
