The Monthly Meeting of the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC was conducted with the participation of all Executive Committee members and was led by the Chairperson, Mr. Sachila Chathnuka. The meeting commenced with a round of updates from each Executive Committee member regarding their current responsibilities, ongoing tasks, and progress on assigned activities. The Chairperson expressed his appreciation to all Executive Committee members, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to the successful execution of the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC Annual General Meeting and Awards Ceremony 2026. The successful completion of the event was acknowledged as an important achievement for the branch and a strong beginning for the new term. Following the transition into the new term, the Executive Committee discussed their newly assigned positions, responsibilities, and expectations. As the Student Branch Executive Committee, members reviewed the overall portfolio of projects and initiatives conducted under the branch to ensure proper coordination, monitoring, and continuity throughout the year. The meeting then focused on the annual plan for the 2026/27 term, including upcoming projects, key responsibilities, timelines, and strategies for effective execution. The committee reviewed the upcoming IEEE Sri Lanka Section Young Professionals Congress 2026, discussing the members expected to participate as well as the current status of their registration and payment arrangements. Updates regarding the IEEE Day 2026 project were also discussed, with members reviewing its current progress and upcoming requirements. Furthermore, the committee discussed the upcoming IEEE GISLA 2026 and Decode Xtreme 2026 projects, focusing on their proposed execution plans, timelines, responsibilities, and activities scheduled for the coming months. Overall, the meeting provided an opportunity for the newly established Executive Committee to review current progress, align responsibilities, evaluate upcoming initiatives, and establish a clear direction for the successful implementation of projects throughout the 2026/27 term. The discussions strengthened coordination among the Executive Committee and ensured that upcoming activities would be carried out in an organized, collaborative, and impactful manner.
