The Monthly Meeting of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Student Branch Chapter of SLTC was successfully conducted as the inaugural meeting of the newly appointed Executive Committee members for the 2026/27 term. The meeting began with an introduction session, where all members introduced themselves, fostering collaboration and strengthening connections among the newly appointed leadership team. The Chairperson officially welcomed all attendees and provided an overview of the chapter's vision, expectations, and priorities for the new term. The session also focused on sharing key insights, recommendations, and important information relevant to the chapter's activities and strategic direction for the upcoming year. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to discussing the roles and responsibilities of each Executive Committee member, ensuring that all office bearers clearly understood their duties and expectations. The committee also discussed the organizational structure of the chapter, coordination responsibilities, and the effective allocation of tasks among the Executive Committee members and subcommittee teams. The meeting further focused on planning the upcoming Triple Helix (Electronics Track), proposed to be held on 16th October 2026. Members discussed the objectives, concept, proposed structure, and key requirements of the initiative, which aims to bring together industry, academia, and government stakeholders to identify key challenges and opportunities within the electronics sector. The committee discussed potential stakeholders and invitees, event coordination, session arrangements, communication activities, and other operational requirements related to the successful implementation of Triple Helix. Members actively contributed ideas and suggestions to enhance the professional value of the initiative and strengthen collaboration among the participating sectors. In addition, the committee discussed strategies to strengthen the IEEE IES Student Branch Chapter through technical, professional, and collaborative initiatives. Members reviewed potential future projects and activities aimed at increasing member engagement, developing technical knowledge, and creating greater opportunities for collaboration with industry and academic partners. The meeting also provided an opportunity to identify challenges, discuss areas for improvement, and propose new ideas for the effective development of the chapter during the 2026/27 term. Key action items were identified, and responsibilities were assigned among the Executive Committee members to ensure the timely progress of upcoming activities. Overall, the meeting established a strong foundation for the 2026/27 term by aligning the newly appointed Executive Committee on the chapter's objectives, responsibilities, upcoming initiatives, and strategic direction, with particular focus on the successful planning and execution of Triple Helix (Electronics Track).
