Overview J’PuraXtreme is an island-wide programming competition organized by the Computer Society Chapter of the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Now in its third consecutive year, J’PuraXtreme 3.0 aims to foster competitive programming skills and technological innovation among students across Sri Lanka. The University Category is open to undergraduate students from recognized higher educational institutions and provides a platform for participants to strengthen their problem-solving abilities while preparing for international competitions such as IEEEXtreme. Qualification Round Highlights A 12-hour online Qualification Round was conducted for the University Category using the HackerRank platform. Challenges were progressively released, with participants receiving continuous updates through the WhatsApp Delegates Group. The competition covered key areas including: Problem Solving Algorithms Data Structures Mathematics Challenges were designed across Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulty levels to evaluate participants' programming, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Participant Engagement A total of 203 teams registered , with 112 teams actively participating , representing 336 competitors . Participants demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and competitive spirit throughout the 12-hour competition. Continuous challenge releases, timely updates, and active support from the organizing team helped maintain strong engagement throughout the Qualification Round. Conclusion The J’PuraXtreme 3.0 University Category Online Qualification Round was successfully concluded with exceptional participation and enthusiasm. Based on their performance, the top 35 teams, comprising 105 competitors, will advance to the Final Round of J’PuraXtreme 3.0.
