The IEEE Student Branch, University of Ruhuna is pleased to organize the Annual General Meeting for the initiation of four new IEEE Student Branch Chapters , marking an important milestone in expanding the technical and professional opportunities available to its student community. The meeting will facilitate the establishment and initial proceedings of the following Student Branch Chapters: IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Student Chapter IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Student Chapter IEEE Power Electronics Society Student Chapter IEEE Professional Communication Society Student Chapter The AGM will bring together student members and representatives to introduce the newly initiated chapters, discuss their objectives and future activities, and establish the foundation for their upcoming term. Date: 30 September 2026 Venue: Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna Through the establishment of these four chapters, the IEEE Student Branch, University of Ruhuna aims to broaden opportunities for technical engagement, professional development, leadership, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among students.
