The IEEE ComSoc Student Tech Leadership Conference 2026 is a premier initiative aimed at empowering students and young professionals in Sri Lanka through exposure to emerging communication technologies, leadership development, and industry engagement. Organized under the IEEE Sri Lanka Section, the conference will bring together undergraduate students, early-career professionals, academia, and industry experts on a unified platform. The event will focus on key technological domains such as 6G and future networks, artificial intelligence in communications, IoT and edge intelligence, cybersecurity, and cloud-based systems. Through a combination of technical sessions, interactive workshops, and panel discussions, participants will gain both theoretical insights and practical knowledge relevant to current industry demands. In alignment with IEEE ComSoc STLC objectives, the conference integrates technical learning (Tech), professional skill development (Train), leadership capacity building (Lead), and direct engagement with industry professionals (Engage). The event is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice while fostering innovation, collaboration, and long-term involvement within the IEEE ecosystem.

Tech (Emerging Technologies): Technical workshops, keynote sessions, and innovation showcases focusing on AI, IoT, Cybersecurity, and Robotics . Train (Career and Soft Skills Development): Career guidance sessions, CV and LinkedIn workshops, and communication skill development programs . Lead (Leadership Development): Leadership workshops, mentoring sessions, volunteer management training, and team-building activities . Engage (Industry Interaction): Networking sessions, panel discussions, corporate interactions, and mentorship opportunities with industry professionals . Smart Communication Innovation Challenge: A short-duration hackathon where teams solve real-world challenges related to smart city systems, sustainable networking, AI platforms, and IoT applications . Cross-Society Collaboration Segment: Interdisciplinary networking and sessions involving ComSoc, the Computer Society, and Women in Engineering .
