As part of IEEE Education Week Sri Lanka 2026, IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka organized the Career Day – Mock Interview & CV Clinic on 28 May 2026 at TRACE Expert City, Colombo 10. The session was designed to support undergraduates and fresh graduates in preparing for their transition from academia to the professional world. The event provided participants with direct opportunities to interact with industry professionals, receive personalized feedback, and gain practical insights into recruitment processes and industry expectations. The CV Clinic provided one-on-one CV review sessions, where participants received personalized guidance on CV structure, content, presentation, personal branding, and effectively communicating their academic, technical, and extracurricular experiences. Industry professionals reviewed participants' CVs and provided constructive recommendations to help them improve their profiles for internship and employment opportunities. The Mock Interview sessions gave participants an opportunity to experience realistic interview scenarios and engage directly with experienced professionals. Participants received feedback on their communication, responses, technical and professional presentation, and overall interview approach. The initiative brought together students, fresh graduates, young professionals, and representatives from the technology and professional sectors, creating a valuable platform for career development, networking, and knowledge sharing. The event was supported by IFS as the Title Partner and TRACE as the Ecosystem Partner, together with industry partners InTalent Asia, Altrium, Nagarro, Frontwalker, Codimite, VSIS, and Calcey . Through the Career Day, IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka aimed to strengthen the connection between academia and industry while empowering students and early-career professionals with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills required to navigate the recruitment process and pursue successful professional careers.
