A Futuristic Medium-Voltage Grid-Connected Multi-Port Public Electric-Vehicle Ultra-Fast-Charging Station with G2V and V2G Capability
September 22, 2026 · 10:30 AM - 12:31 PM @ Jayewardenepura, Faculty of Engineering
Description
The IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Sri Lanka Chapter is pleased to organize a Distinguished Lecture by Dr. Sanjib Kumar Panda, Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore. The lecture will explore a futuristic medium-voltage grid-connected multi-port public electric-vehicle ultra-fast-charging station with Grid-to-Vehicle (G2V) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) capabilities. The session will address emerging approaches to high-power EV charging, bidirectional power flow, medium-voltage grid integration, and sustainable transportation infrastructure. The lecture will highlight multi-port charging solutions for different categories of electric vehicles, including hybrid plug-in electric vehicles (hPEVs), medium-duty plug-in electric vehicles (mPEVs), and industrial plug-in electric vehicles (IPEVs). Particular attention will be given to medium-voltage grid-connected solid-state transformer (SST)-based fast-charging technology and its potential contribution to cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable energy systems. The lecture is intended to provide researchers, academics, engineers, students, and industry professionals with insights into emerging power-electronics technologies for future electric-vehicle charging infrastructure.
