Description
Hope 3.0 is a technology awareness and digital literacy initiative designed to introduce school students aged 11–17 to essential digital tools and modern technological concepts. The initiative places special emphasis on encouraging girls to develop confidence and interest in STEM education and careers. The workshops will introduce students to commonly used online tools such as email communication, cloud storage, collaborative document creation, and online meeting platforms. These tools are widely used in modern education and workplaces and understanding them is an important step toward digital empowerment. In addition, the program will introduce students to the concept of Artificial Intelligence and demonstrate how AI tools can support learning activities such as creating presentations, generating study notes, and enhancing creativity. Female undergraduate volunteers and female lecturers from the Faculty of Computing will share their educational journeys, challenges, and experiences in technology-related fields. This session will provide participants with role models and encourage them to pursue STEM education and careers. The involvement of female undergraduate volunteers and lecturers is a key component of the initiative. Participants will have opportunities to interact with women who are currently studying and working in computing and technology-related fields. Through sharing their educational journeys, challenges, achievements, and career experiences, these role models will help participants understand that STEM pathways are accessible to girls from diverse backgrounds. Through demonstrations, guided hands-on activities, and group exercises, the workshops will provide students with an opportunity to explore technology in a supportive and engaging learning environment
