Description
EEEXtreme is an annual, global 24-hour programming competition organized by IEEE , bringing together IEEE student members from across the world to compete in solving complex programming challenges within a limited time. The competition provides a platform for participants to demonstrate their coding skills, logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities while collaborating with teammates in a highly competitive environment. The IEEE Student Branch of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) will host IEEEXtreme 20.0 participants at the FGS Examination Hall, KDU, Ratmalana , providing a dedicated venue for local teams to take part in this global challenge. Designated proctors will be present throughout the competition to facilitate the event and support participants as they compete alongside teams from around the world. To help participants prepare for the competition, the IEEE Student Branch of KDU will also organize a three-session preparation series covering Logic Breakdown, Prompt Engineering, and Interpreting AI. These sessions are designed to strengthen participants’ logical thinking and problem-solving approaches while providing useful insights into AI-assisted tools and techniques that may support their preparation for the competition. Through IEEEXtreme 20.0 and its accompanying preparation sessions, the initiative aims to encourage technical excellence, teamwork, continuous learning, and active participation in the global IEEE student community.
