This event is vital for promoting algorithmic thinking and computer science skills across the nation. The 2026 competition successfully concluded its final round on April 25 th and 26 th , serving as the official national qualifier event. The primary objective of the NOI Sri Lanka is to identify the country’s top informatics talent and select the four-member team that will represent Sri Lanka at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2026, scheduled to be held from 9 th to 16 th August 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Additionally, NOI Sri Lanka 2026 supported students in their preparation for the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) 2026, further enhancing their competitive programming skills and international exposure.
