Description
CodeRally 7.0 is a three-month, national-level, team-based competitive programming hackathon organized by the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of IIT, bringing together 1,300+ undergraduate participants from 35+ universities and institutions across Sri Lanka. The journey featured hands-on skill-building workshops, weekly training and selection challenges, and a 12-hour virtual pre-hackathon, culminating in an intense 24-hour on-site Grand Finale where the top-performing teams competed for the crown. Structured across three tiers (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced), the competition allowed teams of every skill level to compete against equally matched opponents. Teams qualified for the finals through the Training Weeks, Selection Weeks and the 12-hour Virtual Hackathon, which offered a final pathway into the Advanced Tier. The 24-Hour Grand Finale, held at the IIT GP Square, challenged finalists to solve a series of demanding algorithmic problems through the day and night, testing not only their technical expertise but also their teamwork, endurance and strategy under pressure. The finale showcased the remarkable talent and determination of Sri Lanka’s undergraduate programming community and set the stage for the CodeRally 7.0 Award Ceremony.
