As part of Phase 02 of IndustPro 5.0, participants visited Rootcode, a Sri Lankan technology company known for building innovative software products and AI-driven solutions for local and international clients. The visit was organized to give students insight into the fast-paced environment of a modern product engineering company. Participants were introduced to Rootcode’s approach to product development, from ideation and design to engineering and delivery. Industry professionals shared insights into how AI and modern technologies are applied to real-world products, along with the importance of strategy, collaboration and continuous learning in a high-growth technology company. The visit also included discussions on career opportunities, internships and the skills sought by employers, followed by a networking session that allowed participants to interact with the team and receive practical career advice.
