The MedX 2026 Final brought together five finalist teams to present their innovative solutions to healthcare problems they had identified. Each team pitched its solution and demonstrated its proposed approach, followed by a question-and-answer session with the judging panel. The event also featured guest addresses and feedback from the judges, providing valuable insights to participants. Prizes were awarded to the winning teams, and the finalists were recognized with participation certificates. The event was graced by Mr. Tharindu Suraj, Chief Executive Officer of SRQ Robotics LLC and Co-Founder of Qubebots, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Rukshani Liyanaarachchi, Faculty Advisor of the IEEE EMBS Student Branch Chapter and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, and Dr. Ranga Rodrigo, Senior Lecturer in the same department, also contributed to the event. Sayuni Kusalya, Co-Chair of MedX 2026, briefed the participants on the pitching guidelines, while Sajitha Madugalla, Chairperson of the IEEE EMBS Student Branch Chapter at the University of Moratuwa, delivered the vote of thanks.
