Description
The IEEE Student Branch of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University organised KDUXtreme, a 12-hour dedicated preparation competition for IEEEXtreme 20.0 , to help students prepare for the upcoming 24-hour international programming competition. This initiative brought together many enthusiastic undergraduates from KDU who were interested in improving their problem-solving skills, strengthening their programming knowledge, and gaining experience in competitive programming. The programme provided participants with an opportunity to practise their coding skills, work through programming challenges, and develop effective approaches to solving problems under time constraints. It also encouraged collaboration, peer learning, and knowledge sharing among participants, helping them build confidence and prepare for the challenges of IEEEXtreme. KDUXtreme marked the first time the IEEE Student Branch of KDU organised a dedicated preparation programme specifically for IEEEXtreme, reflecting its commitment to supporting students in competitive programming and encouraging greater participation in international technical competitions. The initiative also created a collaborative learning environment where students could learn from one another and prepare together for the competition.
