The eighth Executive Committee Meeting of IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka, held on 11th August 2026, focused on national project progress, financial management, and preparations for upcoming events and collaborations. Updates were shared on Let’s Talk, StudPro, AI Driven Sri Lanka, INSL, SL Inspire, and Y2NPro, including preparations for the Career Fair, AI Challenge, INSL finals, and upcoming workshops. The meeting also reviewed project-level financial challenges, IFS sponsorship funding, and the need for improved coordination and event scheduling. Additionally, discussions covered YPSL’s involvement in upcoming IEEE conferences, higher education networking initiatives, the continuation of Synergy sessions, and preparations for the IEEE SLSYW Congress. Financial assistance for Congress delegates was approved, with additional support to be considered based on individual needs.
