The IEEE Sri Lanka Section has closed the 2025-2026 awards cycle with six IEEE Region 10 recognitions, spanning Student Branch performance, volunteer leadership, humanitarian technology, Women in Engineering, and Section and Chapter development.
Region 10 is the IEEE Asia-Pacific region, and recognition at this level places the work of Sri Lankan volunteers alongside that of Sections across the region. What stands out in this cycle is the spread. The six recognitions were earned at every level of the Section: by an individual volunteer, by two Student Branches, by two affinity groups, and by the Section itself.

One IEEE Sri Lanka
Awards of this kind are counted at the Section level, but they are not earned there. Behind these six recognitions are hundreds of volunteers running workshops, congresses, outreach projects and Student Branch programmes through the year, most of it alongside full-time study or work.
These achievements belong to the volunteers, leaders, Student Branches, affinity groups and communities who continue to make IEEE Sri Lanka stronger.
To every volunteer who contributed to this cycle: thank you. To everyone considering stepping up, the door is open. Explore the IEEE Sri Lanka Section communities to find a Student Branch, Chapter or affinity group near you.
